Mandalay (Myanmar)

Mandalay is Myanmar’s (Burma), second largest city and it’s located in the central part of the country, along the Irrawaddy River. The city's climate is tropical wet, and dry climate the summer average temperatures are around + 25 C and winters +14 C. Rainfalls are mostly got in the summer months from May to October. The city is the country's religious and economical center and built around the royal palace. More than half of the Myanmar's monks live in the city. The city's most famous attraction is the 4 meters high golden Buddha in the Maha Myat Muni Paya Temple. The city also has numerous monasteries, temples and pagodas, as well as the world's largest book.
